Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is a truly amazing book–one of my favorites (and I don’t say that a lot!). It is written by Benjamin Alire Sáenz and won the Stonewall award.

Day 5: A Movie And 2 Dinners

We went to the pool around 10 AM, and it got cloudy around noon so we went back to our condo. I worked a little on my VIDA collection (which I hope you guys will visit), and at 3:15 we went to see A Dog’s Purpose.

Day 3: Tarpon Lodge and LEGOS

Hey, all!

Sorry I didn’t post last night. We got home from dinner at about 10:30 and I was exhausted, so I didn’t post my draft that I had already written. There was a power outage this morning so I couldn’t post it then.

Just so I don’t confuse you, I’m setting the publishing date to yesterday so you don’t get confused. What that means, is that it will display that it was published yesterday, even though it wasn’t.

Yesterday I got out my LEGOS from the closet and played with them. It is a set called Monster Fighters, where you get sets of different locations (example: laboratory) and you get some monsters (example: Dr. Frankenstein and his monster) and some Monster Fighters, who try to attack the monsters. So far I have The Crazy Scientist And His Monster, The Mummy, The Werewolf and The Swamp Monster. I hope to get the vampire set soon.

The Best (Kid-Friendly) Drinks

As a kid myself, I know the feeling when my parents are having all these fancy (and alcoholic) drinks with cool names, and I starve for something other than sparkling fruit flavored La Croix.
I have compiled this list of the best drinks for kids to enjoy during the holidays (and all the time, really!) The reason I have not included pictures is because this is only supposed to get your brain going. This is not set it stone, and therefore, I don’t want you to mimic what I have created, but rather make your own.

Why The Dakota Access Pipeline Is A TERRIBLE Idea

I think that the Dakota Access Pipeline should not be approved. The Dakota Access Pipeline is an oil pipeline that runs from North Dakota to Illinois, that will transport 470,000 barrels of ‘light sweet crude oil’: oil that is less than .42% sulfur. The CEO of the company Energy Transfer—which is making the pipeline—says it is 60% done. The reasons why I am not in support of the pipeline is firstly, because it puts the environment at risk. Secondly, it runs through Native American’s sacred land, and thirdly, because it isn’t very safe.

5 AWESOME Halloween Decorations (In No Particular Order)

Haloween is only about a month away, and people are starting to prepare. Wether ‘prepare’ means setting up early or just ordering decorations off Amazon a month in advance so you don’t have to pay for expensive shipping.

I’ve compiled a short list of 5 awesome Halloween decorations. Please note that these are in no particular order or listed by least awesome to most awesome, or vice versa.

1: Halloween Deluxe Super Strech Spiderweb

This item is available at Target or on target.com for $3.00. It is 16 feet and can stretch up to 200. This is one of the mahalloween-spider-web1.jpgny classic items people use on Halloween and is truly something you can’t go wrong with.

2: Potion Bottles

Potion bottles make a really nice touch on a windowsill, or on a porch. Craft stores usually have them, but the price can be kind of steep. You can buy some pretty cool-looking ones on Amazon, but they usually come in sets and potion.jpgall look the same. Personally, I don’t like when they are all the same. I like to change it up and add some variety, so I recommend DIYing it. I found a pretty cool website that gives step-by-step instructions on how to make your very own professional-looking potion bottles.

3: Rat Skeleton

Ok, I’ll admit, I’ve never seen this one before.

146225_mainA rat skeleton is a pretty cool idea! I found this on Grandin Road, and it looks really cool! The tails are bendable, the head swivels and the jaws open and close! I recommend buying several, to make your own rat colony!

4: Fog Machine

This isn’t really a decoration, but I felt like I had to include it. I’ve always been fdownload.jpegascinated with smoke and fog for some reason. The way it billows is just so enchanting to me. A fog machine is really a great touch to give a creepy effect on your house. I found one here.

5: Striking Snake

Everybody’s seen the creepy hands that grab you as you reach toward a bowl of candy, but what about a snake doing that same thing? I found a really cool one on halloweencostumes.com. It requires 4 AA batteries and is motion activated. With glowing red eyes and realistic sounds, it will surely frighten anyone who comes knocking on your door! View it here.striking-snake.jpg

Status Update: Harry Potter And The Cursed Child

STATUS UPDATE: HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD

I’m about halfway through Harry Potter and The Cursed Child after hearing nothing but good reviews about it. So far I am really enjoying it. It took me a while to get used to the play format,

(Albus: Hey…

Harry: Hello son!

ALBUS and HARRY embrace.)

but overall I am enjoying it. I really like imagining how different scenes would be played out in front of a live audience, with no film editing or animation. Maybe I will go see the play…

Harry Potter And The Cursed Child

Many Harry Potter fans are delighted by the new Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I was excited too until I found out J.K. Rowling wasn’t writing it.

Then I found out it was a script book for a play, which has it’s premiere tonight in London. It follows 19 years after the book, where Harry is an overworked employee at the Ministry Of Magic, with his son Albus struggling with a family legacy he never wanted.

The book is released on the 31st, the day after the play’s premiere. I’m going to wait and see how people like it before I buy it.

The Top New Online Game

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while…

People are constantly searching for a good online game to play. Agar.io was a very popular game, and even has it’s own application so people can play on phones and tablets. But now, there is Slither.io. You are a snakelike animal that tries to eat other snakelike animals.

The Secret Series

I’m not the kind of person who likes mystery books.

They’re just not my type of book! The Secret Series by Pseudonymous Bosch (Raphael Simon), is not just mystery. They are mystery, humor and fantasy.

And I like them.

iMessages On Mac: What The Heck?

Blog post by Kiran Mathew.

What the heck? Recently, iMessages on the Macbook has been extremely slow. Numerous reports have been sent in to Apple but nothing is being done about it! What do you think is going on?

Yes, I realize Apple is extremely successful and has a lot of things going on, but you don’t become one of the top technology companies in the world by not fixing bugs in their applications.

What do you think? Comment below!

KingsIsle Entertainment

KingsIsle Entertainment has grown ever more popular since the release of their hit downloadable game for computers, Wizard101; a game where players battle fearsome enemies and select spells with powerful effects.

Less well known, their game Pirate101, which I DO NOT recommend. I got an account and I couldn’t even log in! The password didn’t work, and I reset it several times.

In which case, I highly recommend Wizard101 more.

It’s free!

Apple Is Terrific At Service!

I am undergoing a chat session with Brittney, who is an Apple Chat worker. She is helping me decide between a MacBook Pro 13 inch model and 15 inch display.

She has been extremely helpful in helping me find the ideal computer based on my needs. If you ever need to chat to an Apple service member, request Brittney if she is available.

Right from the start she brought a cheery attitude, helpful ideas and good recommendations.

I overall rate Apple’s Service team two thumbs up! Five stars! Bravo apple! 👏

Reviews And Info On: Bad Blood

Taylor Swift usually wrote her songs on her own, with the exception with a couple of her songs like Everything Has Changed, with Ed Sheeran and The Last Time, with Gary LightboyBad Blood proved to have not made that list, until the music video was released.

She teamed up with rapper Kendrick Lamar to create the hit video. It was aired on the Billboard Music Awards, so lots of people were able to view it.

Lots of celebrities starred in Bad Blood, including Taylor Swift (duh!), Kendrick Lamar (duh!), Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, and Zendaya, with lots of others you may know.
