I am writing this post with my brightness down to one bar because I am at my grandparent’s house and me–the genius–forgot to bring my computer charger. MAJOR FACEPALM. 🤦🏽♂️I am praying I can get through this post with my battery at 24%.
Happy July, everyone!
July is a special month for Kiranmathew! Two years ago, on July 13th, this blog was created. I remember sitting at the very table I am now, rattling off posts like Choices, Choices, Choices (my first post), Minions! (my second post), My Loveable Dog, Cocoa (my third post), and my first short story published on the blog: The Zookeeper And The Green Banana (my fourth post)
I am so happy to be celebrating Kiranmathew’s anniversary with all of you this month!
People born in July are usually introverts, but can give lots of wisdom if you listen closely. They are much smarted than anyone gives them credit for. The July gemstone is the ruby, which symbolizes love, health and wisdom. It is believed that a pure red ruby brings good luck.
Some of you might have noticed Kiranmathew looks a little different.
We just changed the color scheme to mostly grays and whites. We also changed the header image to an open notebook with a pen on top, instead of the picture of Chicago.
Virtual reality… such an amazing concept! Explore an image from every angle as if you were there! Travel across the continent in the blink of an eye, or skyrocket up to mars in a flash!
Now, WordPress bloggers are able to add 360° pictures and videos to further enhance all our readers’ experiences on this amazing platform.
Virtual Reality is coming to WordPress.com! As of today, you can create and publish your own VR content on any WordPress.com site, starting with 360° photos and 360° videos (beta), and you can view regular photos and panoramas in VR. Our goal is to make publishing VR content as simple as publishing text or photos to the web — just add VR content to your site and anyone with a web browser can instantly enjoy it.

Before you ask: no, this is not the story of my birth.
When Kiranmathew appears as one word, you know I’m referring to this blog. Not me. That would be weird.
You can find the video on Kiranmathew’s life story (Ok, I’ll admit, this sentence makes it sound like Kiranmathew is a person. Which he is, but with a space in the middle. I’ll stop now) on my new YouTube channel or right here.
During the chaos of this summer, I have not had much time to write on Lucky and Kyra or A Civilization Lost. I have been attending summer camp, going on Minnesota Boychoir tour in Kansas City and packing belonging from Rochester and St. Paul.
Had I been able to write more, I likely would have finished at least one of the two stories by now. I likely will not be continuing the stories for a while during the process of finding a new place to live and then adjusting to a new school.
So I am sorry to all of you who have been waiting for news on the books that I will probably not be writing after summer until late fall or early winter. Rest assured I will try to write small posts on Kiranmathew as often I can, but I cannot promise anything.
Basically, I am writing this post telling you not to expect anything. Consider it rare and unheard of if I do manage to write a post longer than 200 words or even write a post at all after summer ends and I have less free time because of school.
I just want you all to know this so you aren’t expecting me to suddenly publish a written book. I will try to write but after school starts but I likely won’t have a lot of time.
Thanks for your understanding and support!
Kiranmathew started exactly one year ago when I had nothing to do one afternoon, and my Mom came to me with the computer in her hands, and told me to watch a video on it. It turned out to be a YouTube video explaining how to get a blog on WordPress.
A year later, I’m still blogging! It’s been a great way to publish my writing and connect with a large audience. Along the way, I’ve added new authors to help me out!
I got this achievement today:
I am so happy I’ve had this blog as a creative outlet, and I hope to continue it for a very long time.
I love you all!
I just got an account on an animation program named PowToon. I have already made 2 advertisements for my blog, and here are the links:
I hope you enjoy!
ProjectANT was a secret project me and my friends were working on. It was going to be a spin-off the popular show Ant Farm.
After living in Minnesota all my life, my family and I are moving to Illinois. My dad got a job offer from Loyola, and he has decided to take it.
I will miss so much in Minnesota-my friends, my school, and the Minnesota Boychoir. My friends have had such a huge impact on my life, and it is very hard to let them go. They mean so much to me, so I would like to thank each of them for some great times. Continue reading “Illinois: This Is It”
I just finished the next commercial. Click the link to view it:
I made a short video to advertise for Kiranmathew. Watch it below:
I will make another one soon!
I recently got a wonderful letter from a reader who wants an advice column. I have decided to start the Kiranmathew Advice Column.
You can send emails to me (email@example.com) with the subject : Advice Column. This will be kept 100% anonymous unless specified in your email.
The person who recommended this idea to me also sent this letter: Continue reading “The Kiranmathew Advice Column”
I set up the new domain yesterday, and it is working great! My WordPress team is still setting it up, so it may be unreliable for the next couple days or so.
Thank you so much for the feedback on the polls, as well via email!
Ok, Kiranmathew.me isn’t my favorite domain. I’ve decided I’m going to change it to one of the following:
Or choose one below:
I would like the authors to please check the revised and updated Rules For Authors page, and review my expectations for you as members of the Kiranmathew community.
Some of you may have noticed we had an author named THE CHIEF BLOGGER who disobeyed several rules on his first post. Thankfully I was visiting the blog at that time and removed the post, as well as the author.
Do you know someone who likes writing and has access to a computer, iPad or other device? Send them this link: kiranmathew.me/how-to-become-an-author/
