I am very, very sorry.
I never announced that I was taking a break, and I didn’t even realize that I would. I have been meaning to post for some time, but I never really had the chance.
In seventh grade, your grades really count towards high school. You take the tests in 8th, but in 7th is where the stress comes. With an average of 4 homework-heavy classes a day (yes, I did the math) plus other classes that may or may not give homework, we have ourselves a full evening of homework, test prep, and after-school activities.
We always have homework in Spanish, Humanities, Science, and Math. There has been exactly one night in the history of my 7th-grade classes that we have not had Math homework. But we had plenty of other Science homework to make up for it. And Humanities: one of my favorite subjects. I love writing, which should be apparent by now if you have scrolled approximately four inches on this blog, but it’s still hard to find time for a blog after I’ve done all my homework and studying.
And the school year is just picking up.
In my defense, I did manage to write a measly post about Taylor Swift’s amazing new song. My post did not do it justice. Because you cannot cram a post full of images to make it seem like it has bulk. Blogging 101.
BTW: I have to get a flu shot today. 🙁
I do NOT like shots. I get that they protect your health and they’re good for you, but needles freak me out. Sharp things freak me out. To be honest, practically everything freaks me out. I would list all the things that freak me out but I would run out of storage on my computer. And you would be scrolling for a while.
And the thing about shots (and practically everything) is, I always get myself worked up about nothing. It takes about three seconds and it’s done. One time I had my eyes closed, and then the nurse gave me the shot. A couple seconds later I asked when she was gonna do it.
Well, I gotta go for now.
