Missing You

Today, a teacher many people were fond of left suddenly. You don’t need to know his name (nor will I disclose it), but just know he was very dear to us. Here is a poem I wrote, inspired by this terrible situation.

We only just found out today,

But our hearts are tinted gray.

Chest aching, eyes wet;

Though, just this year we met.
