2015: A Year In Review For Music And Movies

Ok, a lot happened in 2015. From music to movies to music. Let’s explore all that in a single blog post.


Taylor Swift’s 1989 became a huge success, and the Unknownbegan and ended.

One Direction’s new album Made In The A.M. was released.

Justin Bieber released his album Purpose, becoming a huge success.

Selena Gomez released Revival, sparking a massive Instagram discussion.


2015 was a big year for movies, so let’s name some popular ones:

Inside Out was a popular movie amount kids and adults, starring Amy Poehler and Phyllis Smith. The humorous emotions captured the hearts of many across the US.

Another highly rated movie was Pitch Perfect 2, more acclaimed than the first. Starring a familiar cast of characters that fans all know and love.

In August, the Disney Channel original movie Descendants was released, where the songs such as ‘Rotten To The Core’ and ‘If Only’ became a large success.

Jurassic World was an instant success, a new addition to the famous Jurassic Park series. The hybrid dinosaur Indominus Rex rocked the theatre and created the right element of suspense that the other Jurassic Park movies became famous for.

Finally, possibly the most popular movie of 2015, Star Wars: The Force Awakens exploded in box offices across the world, with new characters like Rey, fans of the originals fell in love with the new installment. There are rumors of another movie coming out later.
